Loyola College of Law Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

The Loyola University New Orleans College of Law will again offer the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program this year to provide free tax preparation assistance for people with low to moderate incomes.
The sessions, designed by the Internal Revenue Service, begin Saturday, Jan. 23, and continue through Monday, April 12. Hours for the tax preparation sessions are Saturdays, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and Mondays and Thursdays, from 5-7 p.m. The VITA office is located at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, Broadway Activities Center, 501 Pine Street, Room 202. There will not be sessions on the Saturday and Monday before Mardi Gras, Feb. 13 and Feb. 15, as well as the day before Easter, April 3.
Tax preparation services for members of the Spanish-speaking community will be offered by appointment on Saturdays at the Pine Street location.
VITA will also offer tax preparation again this year at the Community Center of St. Bernard Parish, located at 1107 LeBeau Street, Arabi, LA 70032 on the following Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 2p.m.: Jan. 30, Feb. 27, March 13 and 27 and April 10.
Additionally VITA is bringing its program to New Orleans East for the first time from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the following dates:

Those attending tax preparation sessions should bring identification, Social Security cards for each member of their household, tax returns and all other tax documents, including W-2 forms, 1099 forms and Social Security statements.
