Head Coach Nick Dodson and the Loyola University New Orleans cross country team embarked on the Oxford Lake & Recreation Center on Saturday morning to take part in the 12th Annual Foothills Cross Country Invitational hosted by Jacksonville State University.
Saturday's event featured the largest field that the either Wolf Pack squad has seen this season as nearly 30 teams and 250 runners on each side made the trip to Oxford Lake.
On the women's side, Loyola ended the day with a 265 total to claim 19th combined and 10th in the NCAA Non-Division I group. Sasha Solano-McDaniel led the Wolf Pack with a 24th overall finish thanks to a lifetime 5K best time of 19:54.80. Tristin Sander's 21:25.6 landed the sophomore in 71st and Rachel Barnack (FR/Indianapolis, Ind.) was not far behind with a 21:33.3 to grab 75th overall. Logging a 21:46.2, Helena Lauchli (FR/Longmont, Co.) left Oxford Lake in 83rd while Rachel Goldkamp (FR/Defiance, Mo.) (22:37.7) and Kendall Lane (23:14.4) crossed the line at 103rd and 111th, respectively.

On the men's side, Loyola pulled together a team total of 256 on the day to finish ninth in the NCAA Non-Division I group and 15th overall in the 30-team field. Walter Ramsey once again had a great performance for the Wolf Pack men's team, tallying a lifetime 8K PR time of 27:51.2 to claim 38th in the field. Brian Davis (JR/New Orleans, La.) also set a PR (28:05.4) en route to a 50th place finish while Hayden Ricca (FR/New Orleans, La.)'s 29.23.5 landed the newcomer in 83rd overall. Liam Donovan (FR/Kirkwood, Mo.) notched a 106th finisher with a time of 20:49.1 and Daniel Welch (FR/St. Louis, Mo.) (31:28.8 – 114th), Gustavo Mena Pacheco (31:39.6 – 119th) and Hernan Espinal (JR/Baton Rouge, La.) (36:23.8 – 153rd ) rounded out Saturday's finishers for the men's squad.
